Newsmax, Ion Tap Veteran TV Execs to Produce Trump Debate

The upcoming GOP debate hosted by Newsmax and Ion Television, and moderated by Donald Trump, has lined up some TV veterans to produce the event.

Eason Jordan, the former president of newsgathering for CNN, is joining as executive producer. Jordan is currently the founder and CEO of Poll Position, a news, polling and social media company. Newsmax and Ion have also lined up a pair of other CNN veterans in Larry Register, who will serve as media coordinator and Earl Maple, who will direct the debate. Former CBS News special events producer John Reade will serve as senior producer of the broadcast.
