NFL Cancels Hall Of Fame Game
With the lockout approaching Day 132 and counting (nice try, Roger), the NFL was forced to cancel the Aug. 7 Hall of Fame game between the St. Louis Rams and Chicago Bears.
While it might seem like a meaningless preseason game, last year’s Hall of Fame game on NBC was the highest rated exhibition contest in six years, drawing over 11 million viewers.
”We will be working with the NFL to determine how to complete our preseason package,” NBC Sports Group chairman Mark Lazarus said in a statement.
The first national NFL preseason game is now scheduled for Aug. 11 on ESPN when Seattle travels to San Diego.
