NFL Today Host James Brown to co-anchor ‘The Early Show’ this Saturday

TVNewser has learned CBS Sports “NFL Today” anchor James Brown will be filling in on “The Early Show” this Saturday alongside Rebecca Jarvis. This is a step outside the friendly sports confines for Brown, who hosts CBS Sports’ NFL Pregame show. Jarvis, who joined CBS News earlier this year from CNBC, is the news anchor on the Saturday edition as well as business and economics correspondent for the network.

“The Early Show” Saturday will be looking for fill-ins until a new anchor team is named. The current team of Erica Hill and Chris Wragge will be moving to weekdays beginning January 3.

In 2007, Brown was considered a candidate for the co-anchor job which eventually went o Wragge.
