Obama Gives 60 Minutes Best Ratings of ’09
Steve Kroft‘s interview with President Barack Obama gave 60 Minutes its best ratings since December 14.
The program, also helped by a lead-in of NCAA basketball, averaged 17.04 million Total Viewers — good enough for 4th on Nielsen’s weekly top 10 list. It was also #4 in households.
Compared to the same week last year, 60 Minutes was up 48% in viewers and 42% in households. This was the seventh time 60 Minutes has finished in the top-five weekly programs this season.
