OC Register Reporter Accuses ESPN Anchor Of Plagiarism
Orange County Register Kevin Ding returned to his San Antonio hotel room Tuesday night after reporting on the Lakers-Spurs game and turned on ESPNews.
That’s when Ding heard ESPN anchor Will Selva use several paragraphs of his column from the day before as the lead-in to the highlights.
Oops.
“Christmas isn’t over yet, Lakers fans.
The big game, it turns out, will be the game after the supposed Game of the Year.
In San Antonio on Tuesday night, the Lakers will be out to give themselves and their fans the much-needed gift of hope.”
Ding blogged about the incident on his Lakers Blog, where he admitted that it wasn’t even his best work.
“Honestly, it wasn’t my best lead, come to think of it,” Ding said. “Sorry about that, Will.”
