Olbermann Beats O’Reilly (For 15 Minutes In The Demo On Friday)

> To be fair: “O’Reilly was not there Friday,” an e-mailer notes. “More important, they didn’t even have a substitute host like last night (John Kasich). Instead they showed a several month old repeat.”

I love watching The O’Reilly Factor. And I love watching Countdown with Keith Olbermann. And I love when there’s a hint of competition between the two.

So, with that said, a tipster writes: “Call it a fluke, say it means nothing, but for 15 minutes on Friday night, Keith Olbermann beat Bill O’Reilly in the 25-54 demo.”

At 8:45pm, MSNBC had 244,000 and FNC had 240,000 demo viewers. (Zahn had 132,000 and Grace had 75,000 for the same quarter hour.)

For the full hour, O’Reilly averaged 264,000 and Countdown had 210,000. (Zahn had 147,000 and Grace had 69,000.) Click continued for all the quarter hour numbers…

“They used to call it a fluke when Countdown started taking 15 minute chunks from Paula Zahn too,” the tipster added…
