Paris: Blitzer & Dobbs Didn’t Mention Her
Two CNN anchors refused to mention Paris Hilton‘s name on Friday.
“During his daily production meeting on Friday,” Wolf Blitzer “vowed that during that afternoon’s entire news program, he would not bring himself to utter two words: Paris Hilton. ‘And he didn’t,’ a CNN producer tells Inside the Beltway.”
Newsreader Carol Costello handled the Paris news during The Situation Room.
The other anchor who refused to mention Paris was Lou Dobbs. He read an e-mail from a viewer who wrote, “Please do not give that woman air time on your show.” He responded: “I assure you, your reference to her is the only mention of her name on this broadcast.”
