Red Eye Keeping Demo Viewers Awake

I’ve had a number of e-mailers ask how Red Eye is doing in the ratings.

“In March, the show averaged 309,000 viewers in its time slot, down about 9 percent from last year but still beating MSNBC’s true-crime programs and CNN’s reruns of Anderson Cooper 360,’” the NYT said this week.

That’s total viewers — but FNC created this show to attract younger viewers. In the 25-54 demo, Red Eye is up 15 percent from last year. In March 2006, the 2 to 3am time slot averaged 134,000 demo viewers; with Red Eye, it’s up to 154,000. In the 18-34 demo, the time slot is up 27 percent (from 33,000 to 42,000)…
