Rep. Gabrielle Giffords Moved to Houston, CBS News Produces Special
CBS’s Harry Smith anchored a network special report this morning as Rep. Gabrielle Giffords left University Medical Center in Tucson bound for a rehabilitation center in Texas. The special aired at 11:21amET.
The cable news channels also had live coverage of Rep. Giffords being transported to the airfield with CNN carrying live images of the small plane as it taxied and lifted off from Tucson at 12:20pmET, with live chopper shots provided by Phoenix ABC affiliate KNXV.
