Roger Ailes Praises Rachel Maddow Book: ‘Drift is a book worth reading’

Rachel Maddow and Roger Ailes at a White House Christmas party in 2009

Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes is full of surprises these days. The latest: he’s encouraging people to read the new book by one of his ideological opposites: MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow.

Politico’s Dylan Byers reports Ailes has written a book blurb supporting “Drift: The Unmooring of American Military Power,” which comes out later this month.

People who like Rachel will love the book. People who don’t will get angry, but aggressive debate is good for America. Drift is a book worth reading.

The book’s Amazon page includes blurbs from Ailes as well as Tom Brokaw, Frank Rich, Glenn Greenwald and more.
