Romney Out: FNC is First, With The Source

Halperin_2.7.jpgFox News was the first network to report the news that Mitt Romney would either withdraw from or suspend his Presidential race. Jane Skinner broke the news at 12:07pmET, while CNN was second at 12:13pmET. MSNBC first reported the news at 12:26pmET.

Time Magazine’s senior political analyst Mark Halperin broke the news on Time.com and was on FNC minutes later.

ABC’s Charles Gibson broke in to programming at 12:19 to report the Romney news; Randall Pinkston anchored a special report on CBS at 12:31, while Brian Williams broke in to NBC’s programming at 12:37.
