Royal Wedding Ratings: ‘Today’ Tops Broadcast Networks, CNN Most Viewed Cable Channel

As we reported earlier, nearly 23 million people tuned into the Royal Wedding Friday morning. Most of those viewers were on the three broadcast networks, which combined drew close to 20 million viewers.

NBC’s “Today” led the way with 9.6 million people, its best ratings in 11 years. ABC’s “Good Morning America” was not that far behind with 8.6 million people, its best ratings in nearly 20 years.

CBS’ “Early Show” placed third.

As for the cable networks:

CNN led the way in both total viewers and the adults 25-54 demo from 4-10 AM ET. CNN drew 1.66 million total viewers, including 714,000 A25-54.

Fox News was second, drawing 1.55 mill viewers, including 470,000 adults 25-54. MSNBC was third, drawing 629,000 viewers, including 290,000 A25-54.
