Santos To Be CNNI’s SVP For Intl. Relations
Rolando Santos, the executive VP and GM of Headline News, is moving to CNN International as the “senior vice president of international relations.”
CNN is creating the senior VP job for Santos, and isn’t filling his HLN spot, leading some to wonder why the move is being made. He will start in mid-September and report to Chris Cramer.
Santos will “play an integral part in the development of future CNN services around the world while working closely with CNN’s International affiliates and joint venture partnerships,” the P.R. says.
He’ll help Turner Broadcasting’s global business development teams identify “potential new platforms and editorial partnerships,” and he’ll serve as editorial liaison with CNN-IBN in India and CNN Turk in Turkey. He’ll also oversee CNN’s International Professional Program. Details…
