“CBS Evening News” anchor Scott Pelley rounded out the week in New York after a whirlwind tour of West Coast stations earlier in the week. At KCBS in Los Angeles on Monday, Pelley did radio interviews, and was interviewed by KCBS 5PM anchors Paul Magers and Pat Harvey (photo, right). He then recorded a promo with KCBS’s newly named 6PM anchor, Rick Garcia, before anchoring the Evening News from KCBS/KCAL.
At KPIX (San Francisco) on Tuesday and KIRO (Seattle) on Wednesday, Pelley spent time with staffers, shaking hands and taking photos. He also taped promos and interviews with the anchors. Pelley also welcomed feedback and story suggestions from the producers/reporters at all three stations.
