September Ratings: In 25-54 Demo, CNN Beats FNC At 5 & 11pm

Before I post September ratings, let me make one thing clear: I know September was an abnormal month. Two hurricanes has equaled huge ratings for the cable news nets. Now, with that out of the way…

CNN’s ratings headline today: “CNN Closes Gap with Fox News to Narrowest Margin in More than a Year (19% in Prime P25-54 in Sept.)”
In the 25-54 demographic, the 5pm hour of The Situation Room beat FNC’s Big Story, with 668,000 vs. 642,000 viewers.

The second live hour of NewsNight, with Aaron Brown and Anderson Cooper, also beat the Factor repeat in the demo, with 797,000 vs. 756,000 viewers.
