Last One...It started with some intern gossip at "Dayside with Linda Vester." We had heard the rumors, and asked a producer if it was true — "Go check TVNewser." From that point on I was hooked — a daily reader, an occasional anonymous tipster (like here) and when the associate editor position opened up, I jumped at the opportunity. After more than 18 months, I'm truly honored to have been a part of what Brian Stelter started and Chris Ariens has continued. Now, I go back to being a regular reader. Brian closed his goodbye with, "I still have a lot to learn." I do too — but thanks to everyone at mediabistro.com, I'm off to a good start. Monday Jun 08, 2009
Now Hiring — A TVNewser EditorSo, Steve is leaving us. After more than 18 months of Associate Editor goodness, he's heading to Abrams Research to be the TV Editor of their media blog, which means we're looking for a new Editor - not an A.E., but an Editor. You'll be running the TVNewser show (with some input from me, of course.) Check out the job posting here. Steve will be around for the next couple of weeks wrapping things up. Join us in wishing him the best in his new endeavor. Wednesday Jun 03, 2009
mediabistro Bloggers Considered for Reality ShowFirst we hear Steve might be going to Costa Rica later this month to cover the "I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here" finale for WebNewser and now the Washington Examiner reports FishbowlDC's Christine Delargy and Matt Dornic may be the subject of a reality show on Bravo. Under the working title "Inside Washington," producers have filmed try-out reels twice with a group of twentysomethings, including Washington Life editor Christina Wilkie; Fishbowl D.C.'s Matt Dornic and Christine Delargy; Project Beltway blogger Rachel Cothran; Politico's Patrick Gavin; Mix 107.3's Tommy McFly; former "Survivor" contestant Becky Lee; and the Washington Times' Liz Glover.

BayNewser Launches: Interview with @CNNBrk Creator
Co-editor E.B. Boyd interviewed James Cox, the creator of the CNN breaking news Twitter feed that raced to one million followers with Ashton Kutcher. (CNN acquired the account some time ago.) "I ended up re-purposing the feed and taking the CNN email alerts, which at the time were the most, and still are, editorially driven, and putting them into a form I could consume as I traveled," he said. "CNN's feed also had the right level of noise." Wednesday Apr 01, 2009
About That Poll...Foolishness. We're going to stick with covering all the news nets: You Decide: Which Network Will Be RetiredThe economic crisis is affecting all companies and industries, and TVNewser is no exception. Unfortunately, due to the amount of time and effort it takes to cover the entire television industry, we've decided today to move forward with something we've discussed here at the office for several weeks — ceasing coverage of one network. Because it wouldn't be fair to pick which network we will retire, we put the vote to you: which network should we stop covering? Thank you for taking the time to help decide the direction of this site. Voting concludes at 6pmET today: Friday Feb 20, 2009
