Remember all that hype about how funny SportsDome could be?

I was wrong. It stunk.

But the lack of laughs didn’t have an outcome in the ratings as John Ourand points out.

The Tuesday night premiere of SportsDome earned a 0.9 rating (1.5 million viewers), which was higher than the show it was mocking, SportsCenter (0.7 rating, 900,000 viewers).

That’s no laughing matter for the folks in Bristol.
