‘Sunday Morning’ Profiles Timeswoman
In the wake of her paper’s announcement of its latest round of buy-out offers, Jill Abramson will be profiled on “CBS Sunday Morning” tomorrow. Correspondent Rita Braver talks with the new New York Times’ Executive Editor about becoming the paper’s first female executive editor. “I’m very conscious of the past battles that woman journalists waged to rise up in their newsroom and that happened here at the Times, too,” Abramson tells Braver.
“It would be nice to think we would get to the point where it wasn’t so remarkable when a woman rose to the top job at an important institution. But we aren’t there yet.”
