Cal Perry, who has been at CNN since 2006, has announced that he is leaving the network. During his past five years at the network as an international correspondent, he has reported all over the world. Many of his reports centered around the Middle East, seeing as how he was based out of CNN’s Beirut bureau.
In 2006, Perry directed, filmed, produced, and created the CNN documentary “Combat Hospital.” He was also on the team that received the RTNDA Edward R. Murrow Award for CNN’s Middle Eastern coverage.
His internal memo to colleagues is after the jump.
