Friday Night Lights Coming To ESPN

The NBC/DirecTV football drama Friday Night Lights is headed to ESPN starting Tuesday night.

The first two episodes from the first season will air Tuesday on ESPN at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET.

ESPN Classic will become the home of Friday Night Lights starting with a Season 1 marathon on July 14 and 15. Starting on July 21, the show will air on ESPN Classic every Thursday night at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET.

“We were attracted to it because the quality of the show is so strong and it has such a passionate and loyal following,” Connor Schell, vice president and executive producer, ESPN Films and ESPN Classic, told TheWrap.com. “It’s just incredible long form storytelling in and around sports.”

ESPN Golf Analysts React On The Death Of Seve Ballesteros

Legendary golfer Seve Ballesteros died Saturday from complications of a cancerous brain tumor at the age of 54.

A trio of ESPN analysts shared their thoughts on the life of Ballesteros:

Andy North, two-time U.S. Open Champion – “I played quite a bit of golf with him over those years. He was really a special player. He had such a flare for the game. He was one of those players that the fans just bond to. They loved the way he played. He was aggressive, he was entertaining to watch.
