Sunday Show Ratings: February 17

CBS’ “Face the Nation” comes out on top this week, but only Univision’s “Al Punto” showed year-over-year growth in both ratings measurements: +14% in Total Viewers and +18% in the A25-54 demographic.

CBS was flat in Total Viewers and down -12% in the A25-54 demographic. NBC’s “Meet the Press” was down -3% and -14%, respectively.

ABC’s “This Week” was up +6% in Total Viewers but down -18% in the demo, while “Fox News Sunday” was up +10% and down -18%.

Cable replays of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 2,066,000 Total Viewers and 404,000 A25-54 viewers. Rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered 1,167,000 Total Viewers and 435,000 viewers in the demo.

Another win for CBS’ “Face the Nation” on February 10. NBC’s “Meet the Press” was second, ABC’s “This Week” was third, “Fox News Sunday” was fourth and Univision’s “Al Punto” was fifth.

But Univision has the only public affairs show to grow in both ratings measurements compared to the same same week last year, up +20% in Total Viewers and +26% in the A25-54 demographic. CBS is up +12% in Total Viewers but down -9% in the demo, and NBC, ABC and Fox are down in both ratings measurements.

Cable replays of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 2,100,000 Total Viewers and 431,000 A25-54 viewers. Rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered 861,000 Total Viewers and 396,000 viewers in the demo.

“Face the Nation,” which was only a half-hour this week due to CBS’ coverage of the Super Bowl, took the top spot on February 3, besting NBC’s “Meet the Press” by +840,000 Total Viewers and +494,000 A25-54 viewers.

ABC’s “This Week” was third, “Fox News Sunday” was fourth and Univision’s “Al Punto” was fifth.

Compared to the same week last year, CBS, ABC, Fox and Univision were all up in both ratings measurements, with Fox up the most: +50% in Total Viewers and +49% in the A25-54 demographic. NBC’s “Meet the Press” was down -10% and -18%, respectively.

NBC’s “Meet the Press” was on top January 27 in both Total Viewers and the A25-54 demographic. In a departure from the usual order, ABC’s “This Week” came in second among younger viewers, beating CBS’ “Face the Nation” by +56,000 in the demo.

Compared to the same week last year, “Meet the Press” is the only show to be up in both ratings measurements: +1% in Total Viewers and +11% in the A25-54 demographic. “This Week” (+5%/-12%) and “Fox News Sunday” (+1%/-17%) are up in Total Viewers but down in the demographic, while “Face the Nation” (-7%/-29%) and Univision’s “Al Punto” (-9%/-7%) are down across the board.

Compared to the same week last year, “Face the Nation” is down -8%/-13%, “Meet the Press” is down -19%/-17%, “This Week” is down -10%/-12% and “Fox News Sunday” is down -23% in both ratings measurements.

Rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered 1,376,000 Total Viewers and 512,000 viewers in the demo. “Fox News Sunday” was not rebroadcast on cable due to Inauguration coverage.
