But Brian Williams and NBC News have done a clinic on the art of the follow-up, spending time on the tragic Hurricane Katrina-New Orleans disaster almost every day on the 5:30 p.m. broadcast. That’s journalism as history almost five months after the Louisiana city was all but destroyed.”![]()
Hilburn says other news organizations have focused on the devastation, “but only NBC News clings to the story with an abiding grip.” He concludes: “Louisiana should make known its gratitude to NBC News. The administration, with a growing deficit, may like to see Louisiana lose priority. The Peacock network is making sure that does not happen.”![]()
