The Susan Boyle Effect – Talent Show Judge Joins The Early Show
Most Americans didn’t know who Amanda Holden was before last week. The “Britain’s Got Talent” judge crossed the pond, first on YouTube then onto the networks thanks to contestant Susan Boyle.
Well, CBS News apparently liked what they saw in Holden. TVNewser has learned Holden will be a part of The Early Show in early June.
The UK’s Mirror reports, “Network executives [have been] blown away by Amanda’s cut-glass British accent and warm personality.”
A source inside CBS tells TVNewser Holden has been invited to co-host the 8am hour of the show on Monday, June 1 which is the first weekday after the “Britain’s Got Talent” finale.
Holden was at the center of a CBS Evening News story Saturday when a new recording revealed Boyle’s not likely a one hit wonder.
What’s next, Paula Abdul takes over Nightline? Oh wait, that’s tonight.
