The Ticker (p.m. edition): FNC, MSNBC, CNN…

> Greta Van Susteren talked to Jezebel about sexism in the media, Katie Couric and other issues. “Whether you like Katie Couric or not, she’s got 30 years of experience and she earned it and she just got hammered by the media,” she said. “And the women were just as involved with hammering her as men. It’s horrible, it’s unbelievable.”

> Shortly before 9:00pmET, Keith Olbermann took a stand against an RNC 9/11 video tribute he deemed, “graphic,” that MSNBC choose to air (CNN did too, FNC was in Bill O’Reilly‘s interview with Sen. Barack Obama). “It is a subject of great pain for many of us still and was probably not appropriate to be shown,” he said.

> CNN is holding another viewing event in Times Square tonight, as Sen. John McCain gives his acceptance speech. We hear the crowd is about as packed as the Obama speech last week, with even more young people watching.
