Page Six “hears” that Bloomberg is trying to compete with Fox News in the female anchor department with recent hires. Former-CNBCer Margaret Brennan and former-ABCer Gigi Stone joined the business news network in 2009. In March, both Melissa Long (formerly of CNN.com) and Cali Carlin (CBS News) came on board. Long is based out of Sydney. Would a line-up of brunettes be considered counterprogramming?
