ABC World News senior producer Jason Samuels is leaving the network, but staying under the Disney umbrella, to join ESPN.

Samuels has been in charge of producing the daily live World News webcast since April 2007. For the past two months he has filled in as EP of Weekend World News. He came to ABC News after 11 years at Dateline NBC.

Samuels will serve as senior producer at E:60, ESPN's long-form prime time newsmagazine. He is also joining the faculty of New York University's Department of Journalism.
