Katie Couric, Jane Pauley, Byant Gumbel, and Tom Brokaw all took part in Gene Shalit‘s goodbye on the “Today” show this morning. On Tuesday, Shalit announced that after 40 years he was leaving “Today.” The current anchors also participated as did Shalit’s producer of 21 years.
