Too Many Tricks for Stanley Bing?

GSchwartz_6.27.jpgBoth Jossip and Gawker have write-ups on Stanley Bing‘s appearance Wednesday on The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Bing, for those who don’t know, is really Gil Schwartz, who is head of communications for CBS Corp. Schwartz, with the nom de guerre of Bing, has written “Executricks: How to Retire While You’re Still Working.” It’s a funny little tome (seriously, we read it, and seriously, it’s little) about the tricks of getting ahead at work: acquiring the right chair, the art of taking a nap and, most of all, delegation.

The point of the blog posts and this story from the loveable NYPost, is that Schwartz, who is a big time executive, is giving tips on how to fake your way through your job, while his own employer has some serious image issues of late.

When Ferguson asked Bing how he could write the book and still work for CBS, he said, “I practice some of the tricks in the book.”
