Tuesday’s With CNN, But FNC After

fncprimary_4-26.jpgCNN was the clear winner on Tuesday night during the Pennsylvania primary coverage. But the next night, FNC was back on top, and was the top network in audience retention.

FNC retained 73% of its A25-54 demo prime time audience, compared to 33% for CNN and 29% for MSNBC. Fox News did finish in third place in the demo audience in prime time on Tuesday night, but was back in first the next night.

In Total Viewers during prime time, FNC retained 84% of its audience, compared to 36% for CNN and 38% for MSNBC.

This continues a trend seen throughout this election season — while CNN dominates during the primary coverage (and, in this case, MSNBC moved into second in the primetime demo), FNC continues its steady lead during non-primary nights.
