Two More From Investigative Unit Leaving NBC News
TVNewser has learned two more members of the NBC News investigative unit are leaving the network after taking buyouts. This follows last week’s news that a third member of the team, Jim Popkin, was also leaving NBC.
Investigative producer (and author) Aram Roston (pictured) is departing the Washington bureau, and senior investigative producer Bob Windrem leaves his post at the NBC Nightly News.
Roston has been with the unit since 2003, and previously was a correspondent at CNN. In addition to producing stories for NBC Windrem was often spotted on MSNBC reporting breaking news related to issues of terrorism and national security. He is retiring from NBC News after more than 28 years with the company.
With three producers leaving at the same time, we wonder what this means for the Lisa Myers-headed investigative unit which launched in 2002.
