University of Wisconsin Alums Return to Talk the Future of TV News
The national news media has now mostly left Madison, Wisconsin following the eruption over collective bargaining agreements in February and March. But now several high profile tvnewsers who are alumni of the University of Wisconsin-Madison will be returning to the state capital this week to discuss the state of TV news.
“Insights on the Changing Nature of Television News” will be moderated by journalism professor James L. Baughman and will focus on the challenges and opportunities facing TV news.
Participating in Wednesday night’s forum: former CBS News man Jeff Greenfield, class of ’64; “The O’Reilly Factor” senior EP David Tabacoff, class of ’71; ABC News “Nightline” correspondent Chris Bury, class of ’77; former local news executive and now Poynter Institute faculty member Jill Geisler, class of ’72 and also from the class of ’72, Peter Greenberg, travel editor for CBS News.
