“Where the hell is Katie Couric?,” e-mailers are wondering.

Brian Williams and Charles Gibson anchored special reports on their respective networks between 12:25 and 12:30pm.

CBS alerted affiliates to anticipate a special report about the Virginia Tech shooting around 12:31pm. Kelly Wallace anchored (“with no makeup,” one viewer added).

“Our local news team had to carry Katie’s water, plus they waited until 10 minutes before our newscast to feed any video,” one angry e-mailer says…
