This morning Regis Philbin guest-hosted the fourth hour of NBC’s “Today” with his old partner in crime, Kathie Lee Gifford. It was the first time in 12 years (the end of “Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee”) that the pair co-hosted a TV show together.
Before the 10 PM hour, Matt Lauer interviewed the pair about the reunion.
“Do you think it will be the human equivalent of riding a bike, even though you haven’t ridden him for 12 years?” Lauer asked Gifford.
For the fourth hour itself, the team brought in a small studio audience to try and replicate some of that “Live!” magic, and let Philbin and Gifford do what they do best.
