“Vieira, it seems to me, is the unqualified winner in the wild game of musical chairs played by morning TV’s highest profile women last year. Take a look at almost any edition of Today and she’s clearly happy and loose and merrily collegial.”

Meanwhile, Katie Couric is mired in third place and Barbara Walters has “been taken prisoner” by Rosie O’Donnell. But Vieira is “clearly happy to be where she is and they’re just as clearly pleased as punch to have her…”
