When Government Video Isn’t Exclusive

Last night, NBC Nightly News reported on a GAO investigation into security along the U.S. – Canada border. That report is to be released today but Brian Williams told viewers, “we have a jump on the story here tonight.” Only problem: the same exclusive report was running on the CBS Evening News at the same time.

…and more than 15 hours later, MSNBC is still branding the video as NBC News Exclusive even though the GAO video has aired on ABC’s Good Morning America, too.
