White House Press Team Suggested Pres. Obama Call on Fox News First

Fox News’ Major Garrett got the first question at Tuesday’s ‘surprise’ news conference with Pres. Obama, and, through FNC’s Row 2, Seat 4 blog we learn this:

Major says the White House has told him that the President’s advisers SUGGESTED to Obama that he call on Major first and he followed their counsel. We don’t know why it was suggested or accepted.” (via J$P)

Garrett told the FNC blog that he always has five questions ready for the President at every daily press conference.
