Twitter has recently created a Certified Products Program, where it highlights those third-party apps and software that extend the Twitter experience and get the company’s wholehearted thumbs up. Want to know which apps made the cut? We’ve got the full list here.
Twitter groups its partner apps into three categories: Engagement, Analytics and Data Resellers.
Engagement apps are those that “bring businesses closer to their customers, and help Twitter scale to the needs of larger organizations”. Those in the Analytics category “help busiensses learn from what their customers are saying on Twitter”. And lastly, Data Resellers allow “businesses [to] build atop large volumes of Twitter’s public Tweets”.
Twitter posted the full list of the apps that made the cut on their Certified Products page, along with a description of each.

In the wake of Twitter’s recent crackdown on third-party apps, these 12, at least, appear to be safe. They follow the strict rules that Twitter has established for use of its API, and they “extend” the Twitter experience rather than mimic it.
Twitter is currently accepting applications from other apps to become a Certified Product themselves, so you can bet that this list will grow in the coming months.
