How are they using social media in the Middle East?
Performics surveyed users in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE and discovered that 85 percent of respondents have at least one social media account and 60 percent visit a social network daily. Moreover, citizens in these regions are joining Twitter faster than any other social platform.
The study also revealed that social users follow five brands on average, and are most likely to engage with those that share pictures and videos on their channels. This infographic takes a closer look at the increasingly important role that social media is playing in the Middle East.
