Last week we took a look at why Facebook-owned Instagram’s new video feature is no legitimate threat to the future of Twitter’s increasingly popular Vine, although there are some notable differences between the two platforms.

For starters, Instagram’s audience is a lot bigger. Indeed, it’s about ten times the size of Vine, with 130 million users all set and ready to go with the new video feature, compared to Vine’s 13 million. Yep, Vine has Twitter behind it, but Instagram has Facebook, so it’s still got a considerable edge when it comes to usage and growth.
