What’s going on with Twitter?

Following news that Twitter’s user base grew just 2 percent in the last 6 months of 2013, new data from Shareaholic has revealed that Twitter accounted for just over 1 percent of social media referral traffic in Q4 of last year, a decline of 4.31 percent (0.05 percentage points) overall from September.

Facebook, meanwhile, drove more than twice the referral traffic of the seven other top social media sites combined, with a 15.44 percent December share, up from 10.37 percent in September.
