More Journolist Bleeding

73243349.WPB9uXB6.KnifeBlood_11.JPG.jpeg

Things are getting really ugly.

The Daily Caller has released the Day 3 (if you include the ex-WaPo Dave Weigel debacle) installment of Journolist e-mails. Today’s big hit goes to radio Producer Sarah Spitz who shocked herself with her anger. What would she do if conservative Radio host Rush Limbaugh was having a heart attack? Spitz would “laugh loudly like a maniac and watch his eyes bug out.”

But there’s more.

In this installment, some liberal journos want to shut down Fox News. Time’s Michael Scherer, while he believes FNC President Roger Ailes is trying to “build a tribal identity” tempers whatever his beliefs are by questioning fellow Journolisters on the merits of really shutting down Fox News: “Do you really want the political parties/white house picking which media operations are news operations and which are a less respectable hybrid of news and political advocacy?”

> Update: Spitz now works for KCRW, a public radio station in Santa Monica, Calif. that is an NPR member station. The Daily Caller originally reported that Spitz worked for NPR.

> Update: NPR explains Spitz’s involvement with NPR. Spitz works for a radio station that airs NPR news. She has also contributed six pieces since 1991 to NPR’s Morning Edition and All Things Considered. Read the story here.
