ABC News veteran Sam Donaldson has interviewed every president since Jimmy Carter. So who’s the smartest person he knows? George Stephanopoulos.
Donaldson was on hand this Sunday for the Newseum’s “Inside Media” discussion to answer this and more. He took questions from the audience and had this to share regarding presidential news conferences, “A press conference is a business transaction, not a social occasion. The president comes to use it, and reporters are there for business to get information.”
