Stephanopoulos Gears Up for Move to “GMA”
For those reading the tea leaves, it has become increasingly clear that George Stephanopoulos is ABC’s pick to replace Diane Sawyer at “Good Morning America.”
One indication that points to Steph’s gig at “GMA” is the flurry of interest in the home that he shares with wife, Ali Wentworth and their two daughters. Although the Stephanopoulos’ Georgetown residence is not on the market, FishbowlDC hears that prospective buyers are already expressing interest in it.
Sources also tell us that the couple is already considering schools for their girls to attend in New York City.
When reached for comment, reps for ABC said that they have nothing to announce and that they have laid out a timetable: “We feel we’re right on schedule. When we have an announcement to make, we will,” they told us.
