Yeas & Nays Correct Despite Politico Peanut Gallery

Let’s break this down: Last week the Washington Examiner’s Yeas & Nays columnists Tara Palmeri and Nikki Schwab reported on Jan. 27 that ABC’s GMA Host George Stephanopoulos, wife, Ali and their daughters have purchased a home in Manhattan, have their Georgetown home on the market and are waiting until June to officially depart Washington.

All true.

But Politico didn’t think so and blasted their reporting in a short piece that cast doubt on the Examiner story.

A Click story on Jan. 28 said: “Despite reports, George Stephanopoulos has not bought a new home, a source close to the family says. Instead, the “Good Morning America” host is planning to rent on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.”

Since then, Examiner sources who are tight with the Stephanopoulos family and would be in a position to know, re-confirmed what we already knew from the original Examiner story — that Stephanopoulai have purchased a place in Manhattan, have their home on the market and will flee D.C. for the Big Apple in June.
