A Collection of Sad Newsweek Stats

Talking about Newsweek is a little sad, because it was once an iconic magazine. The glossy’s decline culminated with it being folded and then put up for sale again, with no one (so far!) offering even the slightest bit of interest in purchasing it. Now that you’re shaking your head and saying “Damn, Newsweek, shit isn’t easy,” Pew Research Center has some more depressing Newsweek stats to consider.

After reading the below, feel free to pour out a little liquor.

Sad Newsweek Stats:

    • Overall circulation dropped 50 percent between 1992 and 2012
    • Single copy sales plummeted by 57 percent between 2007 and 2012
    • Subscriptions fell by a little over 50 percent between 2007 and 2012
    • Ad pages dropped by 60 percent between 2002 and 2012
