Aaron Gell to Lead Longform Revolution at Business Insider

Business Insider has hired Aaron Gell, the former New York Observer vet, to lead the site’s foray into longform articles. Gell left the Observer in January, weeks after the paper named Ken Kurson its editor-in-chief.

Henry Blodget, BI’s founder and CEO, told Capital New York that Gell was the right person to launch the new initiative. “He is a highly experienced editor with great ideas, and the writers he has worked with rave about him,” said Blodget. “Aaron’s mission will be to help us produce in-depth features that our readers love, and we can’t wait for him to start.”¬†That start will be November 18.
