Daniel Klaidman is joining Yahoo News as deputy editor. Klaidman comes to the site from The Daily Beast, where he served as national political correspondent.

He will make a huge contribution to the Yahoo News team.”

Prior to his time at The Daily Beast, Klaidman served as Newsweek’s managing editor from 2006 to 2011. He also served as the magazine’s Washington bureau chief from 2001 to 2006. Klaidman joined Newsweek in 1996.
