Director of Communication for NYC’s Dept. of Education Joins News Corp.

News Corp. has named Natalie Ravitz as Chief of Staff to Rupert Murdoch. Ravitz has been Director of Communications for the city’s Department of Education since the summer of 2010.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Ravitz will be starting at News Corp. in about two weeks.

In an internal memo obtained by the LA Times, Murdoch said that Ravitz will help “prioritize my commitments to align with key News Corp. initiatives.”
