Three New Hires for The New York Observer
The New York Observer editor Elizabeth Spiers announced three new hires today, including a new deputy editor for the paper, Brian Gallagher, who was most recently managing editor of Gilt Groupe.
Additionally, the Observer has taken on two new reporters. Nitasha Tiku, formerly a writer for Daily Intel, will write on technology, and Michael Miller, who wrote the Bookish column for thirteen.org, will cover the arts.
There are some internal changes going on at the Observer as well. Staff writer Reid Pillifant has been made a features editor, and online managing editor Aaron Gell will serve as executive editor.
