Paul Begala Joins Newsweek as a Columnist

Political commentator and Democratic strategist Paul Begala has joined Newsweek and Daily Beast as a columnist, Daily Intel reports. “As we hurtle toward the 2012 elections I am pleased to be joining their stable of writers,” said Begala in a statement. “I will do my best to inform, agitate, and analyze.”

If Newsweek is indeed ramping up its political coverage, another commendable move it has made is this week’s amazing cover featuring Mitt Romney. It’s a takeoff from from a poster of the play “The Book of Mormon,” and a small text box on the cover reads, “Mitt Romney, Mormon for President.” Well played, Tina Brown.
